2. Overview
This website uses no cookies, no analytics or tracking tools, no advertising networks and loads no external fonts or scripts. Personal data is only processed where necessary to run the website or to handle your request and order. Your language choice is stored only locally in your browser (local storage, entry “mad_lang”); this is strictly necessary for the function you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG) and is not transmitted to me.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. When you visit the website, the server processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, page requested, referrer, browser and operating system) to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). Log data is stored by the host only for a limited period and then deleted. A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with the host.
4. Contact by email and forms
If you email me or use a form on this website (request, partner request, price calculator), I process the data you provide — such as name, company, address, phone, email, VAT ID and project details — to answer your request, prepare a quote, carry out the order and issue the invoice. You receive an automatic confirmation of receipt at the email address you provide. Form data is only sent to me by email and is not stored on the web server. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures) and, for statutory retention duties, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR. Required fields are marked; without them I cannot process the request.
5. Appointment booking via Cal.com
You book appointments (e.g. the design consultation) via Cal.com, a service of Cal.com, Inc., USA. The booking page opens in a window on this website and is only loaded when you click “Book a call”. The data you enter (name, email, chosen slot, notes) is processed by Cal.com. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses or — where the provider is certified — the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information: cal.com/privacy.
6. Payment via PayPal
If you pay via PayPal, your payment data is transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. PayPal privacy information: paypal.com/de/legalhub/privacy-full. For payment by invoice via bank transfer, your payment data is processed by my bank.
7. Links to other websites
Links to Behance, LinkedIn, Adobe Portfolio, YouTube and TikTok are plain links; no content from these services is embedded. Data is only transferred when you click a link; the respective provider's privacy policy then applies.
8. Storage period
I store personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose. Requests without an order are deleted no later than six months after the last communication. Order and invoice data is retained in line with statutory periods (in particular § 147 AO and § 257 HGB). End-customer data from partner orders is deleted after the project ends, unless a retention duty applies.
9. Publication of projects
Drawings and visualisations of completed projects are published only in anonymised form, without names, addresses or other personal data (see terms of service). You may object to the publication of your project at any time by email.
10. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). An email to info@mehmedarifdesign.com is sufficient. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
11. No automated decisions
No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
12. Changes
I update this privacy policy when the website or the services used change. The version published here applies.
