Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to all packages, hourly work and furniture planning. Quotes and invoices follow the prices published on the pricing page of this website. The German version is legally binding.

Current prices for packages, the hourly rate and furniture planning by class S · M · L are on the pricing page. They form part of these terms.
Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed with Mehmed Arif · Design & Beratung, owner Mehmed Arif, Gounodstr. 98 B, 13088 Berlin, tax number 35/211/02620. The published prices apply to private clients and direct orders; companies and trade partners receive separately agreed partner conditions. Individual agreements made in text form take precedence.
Services
I provide design and consulting services: measurement, drawings, 3D visualisations and digital design. Manufacturing, sale and installation of furniture are not included; they are carried out by independent specialist companies.
Visualisations and dimensions
I deliver the outer dimensions of the furniture and visualisations for coordination. Without a measurement appointment I work with the dimensions supplied by the client, who is responsible for their accuracy and confirms them in text form before the drawing starts. Such drawings are marked "based on client dimensions". Corrections caused by wrong or missing dimensions are not part of the included revision round and are charged at €30 per hour; I am not liable for furniture that does not fit because of wrong client dimensions. Visualisations are representations, not manufacturing or construction plans. Before production the manufacturer takes its own measurements; production dimensions, construction, material, manufacturing method and installation are its responsibility. I am not liable for errors in manufacturing or installation.
Placing an order
Orders are requested via the request form on the pricing page (“Send request”) or in text form by email to info@mehmedarifdesign.com. Sending the form is not binding; the contract is only concluded once both sides have confirmed the service and price by email. The request states name and address, the package or the pieces with their class, the preferred measurement date (or your own dimensions), the delivery time and whether it is a rush order. Before this confirmation there is no obligation to start work.
Delivery time and rush orders
Unless agreed otherwise, delivery is 7 working days from measurement or from receipt of complete dimensions. A rush order (delivery within 2 working days of the order) must be agreed when ordering and carries a 50% surcharge on the project fee and class prices. Missing or late information extends the delivery time accordingly.
Additional appointments and no-shows
Every further on-site appointment is charged like a measurement. If an appointment cannot take place because nobody is present or access is not possible, the full measurement fee is charged. Waiting time on site beyond 15 minutes is charged at €30 per hour. Pieces added after the order are charged by their class.
Changes
Furniture and IKEA planning: one round of changes is included; from the second round, each round is charged at €30 per hour. Packages: revision rounds as described in the package, each further round €30 per hour.
Fees and payment
Furniture planning: measurement is invoiced after the appointment, drawings after delivery. Packages: 50% deposit on order, the rest on delivery. Invoices are payable within 14 days without deduction by bank transfer (including payment by invoice) or PayPal. Enter your billing details in the request form on the pricing page or send them by email. Fees are due regardless of whether the furniture is later ordered or produced. Late payment: €10 for the 1st reminder, €20 for the 2nd; statutory claims, in particular default interest under § 288 BGB, remain unaffected. New orders may be held while an invoice is overdue.
Cancellation
If an order is cancelled after measurement, the measurement is payable. If drawing has started, the hours worked are charged additionally at €30. Statutory withdrawal rights of consumers remain unaffected; see withdrawal & refunds.
Rights of use and publication
After full payment the results may be used for the respective project, in particular for quotes and production. Copyright remains with the designer. Drawings and visualisations may be published anonymised for self-promotion (portfolio, website, catalogue, social media); personal data is removed. You may object to publication of a specific project in text form. Photos of completed projects supplied by clients or manufacturers are labelled as such.
Liability
I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence I am liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to foreseeable, typical damage and at most to the fee of the order concerned.
Data protection
Personal data is used only for the respective order and deleted afterwards, unless statutory retention duties (for example for invoices) apply.
Prices and VAT
All prices in euros are final prices. Under § 19 UStG no VAT is charged (small business scheme). If this scheme no longer applies, statutory VAT is added and announced in advance. The prices published on the pricing page of this website at the time of the order apply. All items are based on an hourly rate of €30; the minimum package price is €300 (before promotional discounts). Private client offer: for orders placed by consumers until 31 Dec 2026, a 25% discount applies to packages, furniture planning (project fee, class prices, rush surcharge) and measurement. Excluded are kitchen prices (including the island surcharge), hourly work, stand-alone 3D modelling and 3D printing; the offer cannot be combined with partner conditions. The initial consultation (30 minutes) is free.
Final provisions
Changes require text form; an email is sufficient. If a provision is invalid, the others remain valid. German law applies.
